This website www.rightwindows.co.nz is designed to help you as a home owner become better informed and understand some of the choices and options you have when making decisions about what sort of aluminium windows (and Doors) you will decide on  when you build or refit your home.

Technoform Bautec have commissioned this website as an educational site…. We do not manufacture aluminium windows and we don’t make or supply glass so this website isn’t about any particular brand of aluminium windows or product but it is all about windows and doors, explained in simple non technical language a comprehensive overview  to assist your decision making.

Windows play a huge part in how we feel about our homes. They can define the personality of a home. Aluminium windows provide great looks, functionally, high performance and energy efficiency.

Just think about it……They have to be as transparent as possible, highlight views, provide security,  be able to let in air in summer or close tightly to retain warmth in winter. At the same time, aluminium windows insulate against outside noise and provide year round comfort as typically windows and doors make up around 35% of our homes exterior cladding.

In other words we ask a lot of our windows and doors (or fenestration as it’s called in the industry)

What most people also don’t realise is that up to 50% of heat gain or loss actually takes place through a home’s windows or doors.

So you can see aluminium windows are pretty important and deserving of some careful consideration. The aim of this website is to provide you answers in a non technical manner to all you need to know about aluminium windows and doors but didn’t really know who to ask.
