We are not aluminium window manufacturers, we don’t make or supply glass so this site isn’t about any particular aluminium window brand or product but it is all about windows and doors explained in simple non technical language a comprehensive overview to assist your decision making.
Windows play a huge part in how we feel about our homes. They can define the personality of a home.
Just think about it……They have to be as transparent as possible, highlight views, provide security, be able to let in air in summer or close tightly to retain warmth in winter. At the same time, aluminium windows insulate against outside noise and provide year round comfort as typically windows and doors make up around 35% of our homes exterior cladding.
In other words we ask a lot of our windows and doors (or fenestration as it’s called in the industry)
What most people also don’t realise is that up to 50% of heat gain or loss actually takes place through a home’s windows or doors.
